Problem

Many pre-adolescent girls struggle with body dysmorphia and physical insecurities, especially due to heavy social media exposure. For some, makeup and personal style can temporarily calm these feelings and, ironically, help them feel more like their true self.

Design Solution

Mirror, Mirror is a fun and vibrant magazine for pre-adolescent girls that explores the creative and expressive potential of cosmetics. Through trend-focused articles and the introductory piece Understanding the Power of Makeup, the magazine reflects on how makeup influences self-image and identity. The photography showcases a range of makeup styles to highlight individuality and personal expression.
